I have always felt that radio was something that I loved to do. I started my broadcasting career when I worked at WMCA overnight as part of the “Good Guys” like Frankie Crocker from 1966 until 1968 then moved over to WNBC-AM in New York… dealing with production work and on air. I then moved over to the “L” of NY, WBLS-FM 105. In the early seventies, I moved to Philadelphia and I went; for a short time to the great 99ner WIBG-AM until disco took them off the air then moved over to “Famous 56” WFIL-AM.

Top 40 was a time when an announcer had to be sharp, witty, personable, as well as quick on ones toes. The name Top 40 was because we actually crammed 40 pieces of music into about 53 minutes; allowing time for other “occurrences” like news, sports, contests, and a like.

In the early 80’s I worked at religious stations like WTMR, WNAP until 1991 then back to FM stations like WUSL-99.1 FM and production work at WCAU-FM (WOGL) Philadelphia’s premier oldies station. In 1998, After losing most of my sight to diabetes, I couldn’t do commercial radio because of not having the ability to work as fast I once did and doing things like meter readings, and music logs I formed my own company Miracle Works and when the net opened up in the mid 80’s I jumped on the internet highway.

I had my own radio station on the net “The Motown Radio Network”, which played the ultimate in Motown and Classic Soul (from 1992 - 2008).

Choosing Solid Gold 14k was no accident. I’m one of those people who tend to be a “serious minded” yet fun loving no nonsense kind of a person and after talking to some of the station personnel wanting to be an On-Air Announcer with the "Drake" style oldies format; that I knew so well in the 60's & 70's, was an opportunity that I could not pass up.

Talking "shop" with other fellow professional broadcast members and having an opportunity to "bond" with them as a team player was and is a "God send" indeed. I “work” if you will, lol with some of the most talented people both in and out of commercial radio this “family” is a great bunch of people both on and off the air.
